Using The Right Tools For The Job

SERVPRO of Bordentown/Pemberton IICRC trained technicians use specialized tools to assess the damage from a water loss. A moisture meter is an essential tool used to detect moisture content in many different forms of materials. There are three style of meters that are commonly used. There are pin type meters which measures the depth of the moisture content at the depth of the head of the contact pin; pinless, or non-penetrating meters, which operate on the principle of electrical impedance; and combination meters which allow for versatility depending on the material you are trying to obtain a reading from. In the pictures, you will see how the detector is reading at the beginning of a water loss a strong moisture content and then after appropriate drying methods were utilized how the affected area are now reading as dry.
